Taylor

Taylor Swift has become a rare pop phenomenon: A superstar who crossed over completely from country music to pop culture, becoming the pop icon of the future that will be around forever, and will conquer every corner of the globe. Swift left her heritage in country music as if she was a second skin, and revealed that she was the most refined pop sensibility of her generation. Swift was the only musician/singer to take the popular zeitgeist on the road. Swift's early tracks including the neotribute for Tim McGraw were a testament to her talents. The second album Fearless in 2008 showcased a songwriter finding her voice, and also a larger audience. Fearless was a huge success not only in the United States, where six of its singles were declared platinum, on top of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and you Belong with Me. But it also smashed records across all over the world. Swift's next album Speak Now, released nearly two years following the debut, further consolidated this momentum. It propelled Swift to superstardom. The next three albums she released, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) and Reputation, the popularity of Swift grew, and she became part of the world of pop music where it was clear that she was a part of. When she reduced her sound with the stripped-down releases of 2020, folklore, and Evermore, she still remained on top. This position was maintained with the re-recordings she had made from her earlier catalogue as along with Midnights, her synth-heavy chart-topping 2022 album.
